What is Tahajjud?

  • Tahajjud is the most important prayer after the fard (obligatory) prayers.
  • Tahajjud is a voluntary (Sunnah) night prayer performed after Isha and before Fajr, usually in the last third of the night. It is a special prayer where believers seek Allah’s mercy, guidance, and forgiveness.
  • It is one of the most beloved acts of worship and a key to success in both this life and the Hereafter. The Prophet ﷺ and righteous people made it a habit because of its immense rewards.
