Befrienders

Befrienders roles giving main support to Social Development Officer in assisting Muis Zakat Beneficiaries family.

Befrienders are volunteers and their main roles are to provide companionship, offer emotional support and help develop self-confidence in the long-term zakat beneficiaries through regular home visits or ziarah.They provide a listening ear and companionship through house visits or calls, which contribute towards a positive social, psycho-emotional and physical well-being of Muis Zakat-receiving individuals. Befrienders also assist SDO to facilitate the integration of clients into mainstream society through activities, programmes and community participation. 

Programs

We not only assist our clients financially, but we also provide subsidized or free Islamic Learning to our beneficiaries. .

The financial assistance will be debited monthly from MUIS through Zakat monies and the Zakat recipients (also known as FA clients) are encouraged to join us in Mosque events. We give out Fidyah Food coupons for FA clients and special bundles for them during special occasions like Hari Raya Bundles during Hari Raya Aidilfitri. We also organize seminars or workshops so that clients are equipped with skills and knowledge to enhance their capability in employment.
